About Angola Cotton
Angola Cotton is a cotton and vegetable harvesting farm in Luanda, Angola, making it essentially the first ever Vertical Industrial Farm in Africa built on the principle of sustainability with the latest technology available.
The produce is marketed to local and international markets, contributing positively towards the economic development of Angola through provision of jobs, reduction of poverty, improving food security and exports.

Cotton Cultivation
Cotton is a cash crop which is prone to losses because of lack of crop rotation. This is ensured by Angola Cotton through bi-annual harvesting of cotton to reduce pests and diseases in vertically stacked layers.
The technological innovation enables the farm to conserve water and soil and make use of the fish waste produced by adjacently located sister farm (Aquaculture Fish Farm). The farm aims to protect the environment while harvesting cotton using technological innovations.

Complementary Crops
Complementary crop rotation is undertaken by harvesting Corn, Sugarcane, Cassava, and Onion. The farm makes use of the agricultural land by implementing technology to increase production and can grow any vegetable in 26 days, contributing towards food security in the country.
The farm is conceptualised with the aim of utilising the natural resources and engage in sustainable production of vegetables during cotton crop rotation through using vertical farming and aquaponics techniques.
Location
Angalo Cotton is located on 1100 hectares land located in the village of Cabala, 90km from Luanda, the capital of Angola.
The farm is located on a strategic location and provides easy access to ports required to export operations.

Natural environmental conditions support cotton farming and neighbouring water reserve provides the needed water supply for carrying the farming activities.
