About Aquaculture Fish Farm
Aquaculture Fish Farm (AFF) is a sustainable fish farm located in Catete in the city of Luanda, Angola. The operations are based on development of a fully-automated water treatment facility, storage and distribution centre.
The farm utilises the model of ‘integrated farming’ which applied hydroponic beds and plastic tanks to rear fish and shrimps and uses fish waste as fertiliser for adjacent sister cotton farm. The farm provides employment opportunities as well as meeting food demands locally and internationally through exports, thereby contributing positively towards the economic development of Angola.
Tilapia Farming
Tilapia fish is reared by AFF which is a fast growing and reproducing species of fish. It can thrive in the tropical environment of Angola between 25-35 degrees. It is a popular edible fish around the world that is low in fat and a good source of protein and omega-3 fatty acids.
Tilapia farming will be conducted through aquaponics and is a source of fertilisers for adjacent cotton and vegetable farms. Fish farming enables Ventura to engage in sustainable production of Tilapia and market it locally and internationally.

Shrimp Farming
Shrimps are reared in AFF since it thrives in fresh water. The shrimps are high market value product having huge demand. AFF engages in the production of shrimps and market them in Angolan market along with exporting them to international markets.
The technique used for shrimp production by AFF is based on technological innovation, aquaponics and sustainable development which provides support activities to cotton and vegetables farms nearby.
